What are the Ingrediants for a great friendship (relationsihp)?

Today we participated in some team-building activities. before we got started we reflected about last weeks learning.

What happened when you gave your gift, to someone you value?

They said:
-Thank you
-It's awesome
-I love it
-You're amazing

We talked about how we too could give some amazing compliments, to make sure we are showing special people in our lives that we value them.

The tamariki were so excited to participate in the blindfolded activity.

Zara was elected as the leader of her team. She called to her blindfolded sheep and lead them into the pen.

Kaitlin perservered to tend to her flock. It was until always easy, but she kept calm and guided them to safety. Kia Kaha Kaitlin!

Ash was cool, calm and collected leading his sheep towards his voice.

The children in Room 3 figured out that we needed the following skills in order to have a positive or GOOD outcome:

The Ingredients for a great friendship are:

  1. Communication: Koreromai
  2. Listening: Whakarongomai
  3. Enthusiasm: Help us with a translation please!
  4. Supportive; Manaakitanga
They were just amazing! As a class we are learning to see and recognise celebrations and challenges. Please ask us about both at home. We are learning to be balanced thinkers.
