Cross Country + Maths = ???

In Room 3 we are working hard to practice for cross country. today we were thinking about how Maths and Cross Country are related to one another.

Last week we discovered that distance is measured in centemetres and in meters, we measured using a ruler.

Today we figured out the time is measured in minutes and seconds, we measured using a clock or a stop watch.

It was wonderful to see the children actively learning and participating - while learning.

Great Work Room 3!

In Room 3 we warm-up, "Gangnam Style."

Archie and Sonny are the only 6 year old boys at school today!! They are both super serious contenders.

The seven year old boys get ready to practice their 3 laps.

The Room 3 Time Keepers wait nervously to time the children. They are excited to use the technology!

The teacher tally's our first attempt. She records the MINUTES and the SECONDS ____ : _____ . In Room 3 we are working on trying our best. When we complete TIME 2 next week, we are hoping to go a little faster. That means our time will be 'Smaller'.
